How We Can Work Together

Motivational message to writers from a writing coach about working with them.

Let's start with what you want to write.

You may be at the very beginning, with an idea for a novel that’s been waiting for your attention, or you may be part of the way through a non-fiction book that no longer feels clear.  You could be working on an idea for a feature in the media - newsprint, magazines, online. You don’t need to arrive with confidence or certainty.

I'm here to help and nurture your writing. Based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, I work with clients all over the UK and also overseas.

I offer one-to-one writing coaching and mentoring that meets you where you are, supporting both the development of your work and the confidence to continue.  You can start writing your novel, or a non-fiction book, or a feature for the media, with me providing gentle, effective support.

I understand that being coached is not only about writing, but about building your confidence, finding time to write, being accountable for your writing and having self-belief.

A Word (or two) About Fees.

I aim to keep my fees clear, fair, and transparent, and to offer a more direct and flexible way of working than is often possible within larger organisations. All work is one-to-one and shaped around what will be most helpful for you and your writing.

Fees are per hour. This can be used for reading your work (including ideas and drafts) and emailing feedback, or a combination of reading and talking. I work by email, phone and Zoom.
